Gold Coast Beaches

Travour welcomes you to the awesome continent of Australia - also called Down Under. Australia is an amazing continent of beaches where you will find from the most beautiful to the most unconventional of beachfronts and coastlines.

This continent is surrounded at all sides by water, with approximately 23,000 miles of coastline and so offers beaches beyond compare to the beach lover - there's something for everyone here Down Under, says Travour. Australia's
Gold Coast Beaches are probably the most visited as they are very tourist (swimmer) friendly and a big hit with all age groups. Some of them are Main Beach, Surfer's Paradise, Broadbeach, Mermaid, Miami and Nobby Beach, Currumbia, Bilinga, Tugun, Kirra and Coolangatta.

Main Beach derives its name from the fact that it was the principal surf beach for Southport, Queensland. This beach is just a short distance from another very popular Gold Coast Beach- Surfer's Paradise. As the name suggests, this beach bustles with heavy duty surfing but notwithstanding all the action, there still is a semblance of tranquility in its air.
Broadbeach is an amazing beach with many picturesque parks equipped with picnic areas and barbeque spots for you to make the most of them!

Its an activity beach offering everyone so much to do and see- all day and even after sunset- Travour recommends this beach as a must see among Gold Coast Beaches

In 1934, Broadbeach was rechristened, post its survey. Both Miami and Nobby Beaches are predominantly family oriented activity areas; offering plenty of scope for fun in the sun.
Currumbin, Bilinga and Tugun are three beaches positioned on the southern end of Australia's Gold Coast. All three are relatively secluded and more peaceful than their bustling northerly neighbors mentioned above. Travour suggests you visit these if you wish to spend some quiet time on Gold Coast Beaches.
Kirra is famous for its board riding opportunities which seasoned surfers will love to lap up! So all experienced surfers must go to this beach for sure for some adrenalin pumping surfing thrill.
Coolangatta - Rainbow Bay and Greenmount Beach are its well known sandy stretches where you can have the time of your life and even catch a glimpse of a migratory whale of two!

Travour is an international travel and vacation online guide that provides information on all the best beach holiday spots in the world including Australia's very well known Gold Coast Beaches.
