Mexican Wedding Themes

Mexican wedding themes bring to mind a lot of festivity, color and an overall atmosphere of glee and fun. So if you too are looking to have a "spicy" wedding, try out the Mexican wedding themes and have a very memorable wedding.

Location

A Mexican wedding is usually held at the bride's house or in her garden. So while having a Mexico theme wedding, you can have the wedding at the bride's house itself. Decorate the place with bright colors, hang lanterns all around and most definitely arrange for great music.

Food

The food served at a Mexican themed wedding can be nothing short of "spicy"! The yummy tortillas, enchiladas and various preparations of rice and corn are trademarks of Mexico. So spice up your wedding with some spicy Mexican food. Then have a large fruit cake as your wedding cake and serve iced cookies to the guests to complete the entire Mexican feast.

Attire

As it is well known, Mexico is a very colorful land. So while having a Mexican theme wedding, the bride can wear a colorful, flowing dress to symbolize the vibrancy of Mexico. The flower girl and ring bearer are usually dressed up exactly like the bride and the groom. The bride can also carry a fancy fan in her hand rather than a bouquet of flowers.

Apart from these, the band that will be playing at the wedding can also be appropriately attired. While playing great mariachi, salsa or traditional folk songs, the band members can dress up in true Mexican fashion to add a dose of extra Mexican flavor.
