Seletar Airport is the first international airport of Singapore. It was constructed in 1929. Shortly after 8 years of its construction, the airport was replaced by the Kallang Airport as the new international airport for Singapore. However, Seletar Airport is located at the northeast direction of the Singapore Island and is close to Lower Seletar Reservoir and Pulau Punggol Barat. It falls under the operation of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). From this general aviation airport chartered flights are operated. It has 27 aircraft stands and a single runway. This airport is open for 24 hours every day.
