Cusco is a popular tourist destination in Peru, and so getting to the city is certainly not a problem. Though Cusco can easily be reached by air, rail and road, flights are by far the best way to reach the city. Airlines offering flights to Cusco include Aero Continente, AeroCondor, LanPeru, Taca Peru, Aviandina, and TANS. Cusco is just over an hour flight from Lima.
Getting to Cusco by Train: Cusco has 2 main train stations- Estación de Huanchaq and Estación de San Pedro, connecting it with Arequipa, Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, Puno and the Amazon jungle.
Getting to Cusco by Road: There are regular bus services connecting Cusco to Lima, Arequipa, Puno, and Puerto Maldonado in the Amazon basin. It takes around 26 hours to reach Cusco from Lima, 10 hours from Puno, and 12 hours from Arequipa.
