The Kuching International Airport in Sarawak, Malaysia is the main international airport of the city and is located nearly 15 kilometers from Kuching city. The airport also serves as an airbase for the Royal Malaysian Air Force. It was in this airport where the Malaysia Airlines Airbus A 330 had slipped on the runway while taking off, in the year 2006.
