Committed to promote inbound British Tourism, The British Tourist Authority is an official travel guide to Britain for overseas tourists. Also known as BTA, British Tourist Authority works in partnership with the national tourist boards of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The efficiency of BTA is evident through the fact that it operates in twenty-seven overseas markets.
Created as a statutory body by the development of Tourism Act in 1969, British Tourist Authority is engaged in providing information on British Tours to the tourists traveling to Great Britain. The efforts of BTA are remarkable in the way it came up with a brilliant idea of launching a website called The Tourism Industry Professionals Site (TIPS) for UK inbound tourism professionals.
