    Spain beats Tunisia (3-1)
    Spain defeated Tunisia (3-1) in a highly entertaining Group H contest in Stuttgart on June 19, 2006. Tunisia started quite impressively taking 1-0 lead in the 8th minute when striker Jaouhar Mnari produced a superb goal. Tunisia maintained their till 71-st minute when Spain fought back with an excellent equalizer by Raul. Spain took 2-1 just after 5 minutes when Fernando Torres struck a superb goal in 76th minute. Last goal for Spain was scored in injury time by Fernando Torres. With this win Spain has moved to Round of 16. Xabi Alonso was declared the Man-of-the-Match for his superb all-round performance.

    Ukraine crushes Saudi Arabia (4-0)
    Ukraine literally crushed Saudi Arabia (4-0) in an exciting Group H match in Hamburg on 19 June 2006. Andriy Rusol scored the first goal in just 4-th minute of the game, followed by a goal by teammate Serhiy Rebrov in the 36-th minute.

    Then Andriy Shevchenko converted a superb header to a goal just seconds after the interval time. Man-of-the-Match Maksym Kalinichenko scored the fourth goal for Ukraine in the 84-th minute.

    Tunisia draws with Saudi Arabia (2-2)
    Tunisia finally managed to draw (2-2) with Saudi Arabia in an exciting Group H contest in Munich on 14 June 2006, thanks to an injury-time (92+') header from the striker Radhi Jaidi. Saudi Arabia started nervously with Tunisia dominating the game in the first half. Tunisian star striker Zied Jaziri produced a superb goal in (23') of the game, but Saudi's soon strengthened their defense and started to attack opposition with more determination. After trailing to Tunisia in the first-half, the Saudis drew level when Yasser Al Kahtani striked a fine near-post finish in the 57'. As the game was moving towards a sure draw, the Saudi substitute Sami Al Jaber completed a sweeping move to give a cool finish in 84', providing his team a much needed lead. But an injury-time header from the Tunisian star striker Radhi Jaidi stunned Saudis. Zied Jaziri (TUN) was declared the Man-of-the-Match for his superb performance.


    Spain crushes Ukraine (4-0)
    Spain started its 2006 World Cup campaign in a truly wonderful style, crushing Ukraine (4-0) in their first Group H encounter in Leipzig on 14 June 2006. Spain dominated the game throughout and never let the first-timer Ukraine to be reorganized. The Spanish Xabi Alonso produced a superb goal in the 13', and just after 4 minutes his teammate David Villa followed the suit to give Spain 2-0 lead. Just 2 minutes into the second half Vladyslav Vashchuk (UKR) conceded a penalty to Spain that was successfully converted by David Villa. Fernando Torres striked again for Spain in 81' of the game that provided Spain with a convincing win. Xabi Alonso was declared the Man-of-the-Match for his all round performance.
