Galapagos Cruises

Galapagos Cruises are one the most enjoyable cruises that one has ever experienced. More and more families are now taking a trip to the beautiful island s of Galapagos in order to enjoy the scenic beauty and the excellent climate.

The Galapagos Islands are located 1000 km form the Ecuadorian main land. Galapagos is basically a group of 13 volcanic islands. The main islands that one gets to visit while going on a cruise to Galapagos are:

  • San Cristóbal
  • Española
  • Floreana
  • Santa Cruz
  • North Seymour
  • Rábida
  • Bartolomé
  • South Plaza
  • Genovesa
  • Santa Fe
  • Santiago
  • Isabela
  • Fernandina

All these islands, together known as the Galapagos Archipelago, are known for their scenic beauties as well as the flora and fauna that can be seen on these islands.

There is no best time to go for a cruise to the Galapagos. The climate is such that one can go for a cruise anytime during the year. However there are low seasons and high seasons. Most tour operators prefer to go during April & May and September & October. This however is the low season. The period between June and December is by far the most appropriate time to go for a cruise to these islands. The skies are blue and the wildlife in this region is totally active during this period. Hence, one can say that it is the perfect time for a cruise to this place.

A cruise to the Galapagos means admiring its natural beauty. One can see different types of animals and birds. Some of the birds that can be seen are the Galapagos Marine Iguana , Galapagos Hawk and the Frigatebird in Espanol and South Plaza . One can also get to see the Sally Light-foot Crab in the beaches. Whale watching is another major activity. Other activities involve guided hikes, relaxing beach walks, snorkeling and swimming. Moreover, the unique volcanic geology of the islands is a marvelous sight. The island Isabela is made up of six volcanoes. Santa Cruz has lava pits and one can also see giant tortoises.

The cruise ships offer immense facilities to the travelers. They have spacious interiors, pools, and excellent meals. On board the cruisers are provided with other amenities like on-board doctors, shops, libraries, conference rooms, and nightly discos. Al this makes the journey a delightful experience.

Galapagos Cruises have won the hearts of the travelers with its magical scenery and beauty.
